▸Do I need to know anything about AI to use Trowel?
Not at all. Trowel handles the AI automatically — every save triggers a photorealistic preview image and a quick design review, and one click fills in plant attributes for you. You just design.
▸Can multiple designers on my team use it?
Yes. The Professional plan includes 5 team members and the Business plan includes 15 — and every plan lets you add extra seats for $19/seat/month, self-serve — each seat also adds design and AI capacity. Each person has their own login with a role — Designer, Senior Designer, Manager, or Admin — and admins can customize what each role is allowed to do.
▸What happens to my designs if I cancel?
Your designs are always yours. You can export your data at any time from the Settings page, and your designs stay in your account after cancellation — you can sign back in to view and export them whenever you like.
▸Does it work for flower beds as well as pots?
Yes. Trowel detects flower beds from the location name and adjusts both the AI review and image generation accordingly — different density expectations, different photography style.
▸Can I export designs for client presentations?
Yes. Each design can be printed as a PDF showing the planting diagram, AI-generated image, plant list, and design details. Perfect for client presentations and install crews.
▸How does the AI image generation work?
When you save a design, Trowel sends the plant placement data to Google's Gemini AI. It understands pot shape, dimensions, season, back/middle/front rows, and your design notes — and generates a photorealistic photo in 15–30 seconds.
